Local governments in Contra Costa County are collaborating to offer a Leadership Academy for emerging leaders. The next Leadership Academy will launch in January 2019, meeting on the first Thursday of each month for seven sessions, ending in July 2019. The Academy will be held at Walnut Creek City Hall, 1666 N. Main Street. The target audience is Division Managers, Assistant Department Heads, mid-managers, and other emerging leaders.
Goals of the Leadership Academy
To create a cost-effective talent development program for the participating jurisdictions
To enhance the leadership skills of the participants
To assist the participating local governments in their succession planning efforts
To offer employees positive development opportunities and motivating experiences
